Volleyball
Volleyball has quickly become a cornerstone of the Dhammissara Primary Section’s extracurricular activities, fostering teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness among our young students. Initiated in 2018, the volleyball program has seen remarkable growth and success in a short period.
The volleyball program at Dhammissara Primary Section was launched on August 30, 2018, under the expert guidance of Coach P.A. Haritha Gishan. Recognizing the importance of early sports education, the program was specifically designed for students in grades 2, 3, 4, and 5. This initiative aimed to introduce the fundamentals of volleyball to young learners, fostering a passion for the sport from an early age.
Despite being a relatively new program, the volleyball teams at Dhammissara Primary Section have already made significant strides in competitive sports. In 2019, just a year after the program’s inception, both the under-11 boys’ and girls’ teams achieved runners-up positions in the prestigious DSI School Volleyball Tournament. This remarkable accomplishment highlights the dedication of our young athletes and the effective coaching methods of Coach Gishan.

Birthday Wishes for Boys and Girls Throughout the Year. Â
Purpose: Foster creativity in children while promoting unity and friendship.
This event takes place annually from May to December. Each month during this period, we dedicate one day to allowing children to express their visions, thoughts, and interests through drawing. We then select the top five creations and reward the artists with a gift and a certificate.
Our aim is to nurture children’s artistic skills, enhance their perception, and foster the development of disciplined, free-thinking individuals.
